OpenEPCIS
Production-ready

Business Edition

The complete EPCIS 2.0 platform for production use in the enterprise.

Make your supply chain data usable across company boundaries

Companies generate data continuously along the supply chain. Making it traceable and shareable beyond their own boundaries is the real problem. The Business Edition solves it. As our commercial product it is production-ready for daily use. We keep it current with the standard and take care of maintenance.

No trial, no functional limits, the full implementation of the GS1 EPCIS 2.0 standard. You run the platform yourself, or benelog takes over operation.

Who the Business Edition is for

The Business Edition is meant for companies that want to run OpenEPCIS permanently in operation. Typically that means brand manufacturers who have to make their supply chain provable, companies under regulatory requirements, and operators who provide OpenEPCIS infrastructure for several tenants. What they have in common is simple. They need a platform they can depend on, and they would rather not build and run it themselves. Operators can provide the Business Edition as a white label solution under their own brand. The interface and the appearance carry their branding, the platform behind it is OpenEPCIS.

What you get

Production-Ready

Built for continuous operation, maintained by us and developed further as the standard evolves. A platform that holds up once it carries real traffic.

Multi-Tenant

One installation serves many customers, cleanly separated from each other. Anyone running OpenEPCIS for third parties needs exactly this.

Operation And Support From One Hand

benelog builds the platform and answers for running it. One contact for architecture, for updates and for day to day operation.

What makes the difference in operation

A supply chain data layer has to do more than work in a test. It has to hold up when many customers work on it at the same time, when data is needed without delay, when proofs have to stand up across company boundaries, and when the connection to GS1 has to be genuinely dependable. Those four points decide whether a platform is fit for production. They are the reason the Business Edition is proven in real operation.

Tenant Separation In The Data Layer

One installation, many customers. The separation sits in the data layer itself, rather than only in the application on top of it.

Live Instead Of Polling

Events go out the moment they arrive. There is no polling interval to tune and no window to miss.

Verifiable Credentials, Wallet-Independent

Proofs that work with the digital wallets now taking shape across the EU, without tying you to one of them.

Verified By GS1

A real, two-way connection to the GS1 Germany services. An active node in the GS1 network.

Flexible deployment

Self-Hosted

In your own cloud or on-premises. Full control over data, infrastructure and configuration. The route most companies with an existing platform team take.

Managed by benelog

A fully operated OpenEPCIS instance in a certified German data centre. No infrastructure effort on your side, and no cluster for your team to learn.

What applies to both operating models

The platform stays current with the GS1 standards. Whatever changes in EPCIS, in the GS1 Conformant Resolver or in the other building blocks, we implement it and make it available, as a rule by the time the standard in question is published. EPCIS 2.1 will be available too, as soon as the standard is out. That is possible because benelog helps develop the EPCIS standard as co-chair of the GS1 working group.

On top of that comes comprehensive support with fixed response times and a named contact.

Would you rather start smaller? The Community Edition provides the open building blocks under Apache 2.0, and the Research Edition provides the complete platform free of licence fees for non-commercial use.
